The Japanese government is considering easing travel restrictions for companies that will assist in the reconstruction of Ukraine.
According to NHK, the government plans to support the efforts of both the public and private sectors in rebuilding Ukraine.
On Monday, February 19, a Japan-Ukraine conference on promoting economic recovery will be held in Tokyo. However, some Japanese companies complain that current travel restrictions to Ukraine, set at the highest level, hinder their business operations there.
Government officials are discussing ways to relax restrictions for relevant companies. Most officials are wary of reducing the level of concern about travel to the country, as Russian attacks in Ukraine continue.
They also hope to maintain the current evacuation advisory.
The Japanese government is considering allowing companies to stay in the country for a certain period after verifying whether their safety in Ukraine can be ensured.
