This morning, Russian forces launched a missile strike on Ukraine, using strategic aviation aircraft Tu-95MS. Air defense systems managed to shoot down all targets heading towards Kyiv, but there were hits in Lviv, Zaporizhzhia, near Myrhorod, and beyond.
Kyiv
As noted by the Kyiv City Military Administration, the latest missile strike on Ukraine was a combined effort. Specifically, Russian missiles of various types were aimed at Kyiv, approaching the city from different directions.
The air raid alarm in the capital lasted for over 2 hours. All missiles targeting Kyiv were destroyed by air defense systems.
According to local authorities, there were no casualties or damage in the capital. The city's vital infrastructure continues to operate normally.
Lviv
During the morning attack on Lviv, three people were injured. A man and a woman living in buildings on Naukova Street, which suffered from the blast wave, sustained lacerations. They received assistance on-site. Another man with a hematoma was hospitalized.
Also on this street, the blast wave shattered windows in 16 residential buildings and damaged cars parked nearby.
"During the morning attack, a rocket also hit the ground near residential buildings on Naukova Street. Windows were damaged in five- and nine-story buildings where people live, as well as in the employment center," added Mayor Maxim Kozitsky.
According to preliminary information, over 10 missiles targeted the region. While air defense systems effectively responded to the attack, one missile hit an infrastructure object, causing a fire.
Later, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi added that two schools and one kindergarten in the city were affected by the attack. Over 400 windows were shattered, and a total of 18 residential buildings were damaged.
Zaporizhzhia
In the morning, the Russian forces also attacked Zaporizhzhia. An infrastructure object was shelled. According to preliminary data, four people were injured.
It is also known that multi-storey residential buildings, an educational institution, and a commercial facility suffered damage (windows were shattered, roofs were damaged).
Poltava region
In the Poltava region, overnight, the Russians hit a warehouse in the Myrhorod district. This caused a fire covering an area of ââ100 m². There were no casualties or injuries.
Dnipropetrovsk region
The morning in the Dnipropetrovsk region also began with explosions. Russian forces attacked civilian infrastructure objects.
According to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, this morning, air defense systems shot down two rockets over the region. They landed in the Nikopol and Novomoskovsk districts.
"We also have 'hits' in the Dniprovsky district. An infrastructure object was damaged. The main thing is that no one was injured. The territory is being surveyed," he wrote.
Khmelnytskyi region
In the Khmelnytskyi region, civilian objects were damaged as a result of the mass attack on Ukraine.
As reported by the First Deputy Head of the Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Tyurin, two people were injured as a result of the shelling. They are in a moderate condition.
Ivano-Frankivsk region
In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, rescuers extinguished a fire caused by the fall of rocket debris.
This morning, rocket debris fell in the Rogatyn district, causing a fire on the roof and coarse fodder in an outbuilding.
Rescuers have extinguished the fire. There were no casualties.
