A massive overnight Russian drone attack targeted Kharkiv, causing a fire at a civilian enterprise in the city’s Kyivskyi district and injuring at least three people, according to Mayor Ihor Terekhov.

“The Shahed drone attack on the city lasted 14 minutes. During that time, the enemy struck the Kyivskyi district 16 times,” Terekhov reported on Telegram.

Preliminary reports indicate several drones were intercepted by Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

Kharkiv regional governor Oleh Syniehubov said that over 20 minutes, the city experienced at least 17 explosions, most of them hitting the civilian facility. The drones used were reportedly Geran-2 (Iranian-made Shahed variants).

Initially, no casualties were reported, but later Syniehubov confirmed that

"three people were injured in the attack and are receiving medical assistance."

Emergency services continue to work at the scene.
