From August 20 to 24, 2025, Kyiv will become a vibrant hub of creativity and innovation as it hosts the third season of DVRZ Design Days — an annual event dedicated to showcasing and promoting Ukrainian design.
For five days, the event will bring together designers, artists, architects, and the public to celebrate local craftsmanship and encourage the culture of “made by us, for us.” The platform highlights the best examples of Ukrainian design, aiming to make it a natural part of everyday life and homes across the country.
This year, the event returns to Kyiv’s iconic industrial venues, transforming them into lively centers of cultural exchange and design exhibitions. The main locations will be the MLYN design hub in the historic Podil district and Panoptikum, Ukraine’s first gallery dedicated exclusively to product design, located at the DVRZ complex — the birthplace of the event format.
The theme for this season, “Design for Everyone,” reflects a mission to integrate design into mass culture and daily living. According to DVRZ Design Days co-founders Roman Mykhailov and Larysa Tsybina:
"the goal is to shift perceptions of Ukrainian-made products from exclusive art pieces to accessible, functional items for everyday use. They emphasize the importance of supporting local manufacturing by promoting well-designed, mass-market products that combine quality and aesthetics, thus helping create new jobs and boost the economy."
Visitors can explore five curated exhibition sections, including “Industrial Design,” “Functional Art,” “Materials,” “Craft and Decor,” and a new experimental segment called “DVRZ Lab.” These exhibits will showcase a broad range of objects and artworks that highlight the diversity and innovation within Ukrainian design.
In addition to exhibitions, the event will offer a rich educational program featuring open lectures, panel discussions, and workshops addressing the evolving challenges and opportunities in the Ukrainian design scene. Guests will also enjoy interactive zones, food courts, music performances, relaxation areas, and a pop-up store where they can purchase unique design souvenirs.
DVRZ Design Days continues to foster a strong local design community and inspire Ukrainians to embrace homegrown creativity — transforming the way design is perceived and experienced across the country.
