On Tuesday, large-scale training exercises of the German Bundeswehr, Grand Quadriga 2024, begin in Lithuania.
As reported by LRT, over 3,000 German military personnel and 200 units of military equipment, including Leopard tanks, Puma IFVs, and Boxer APCs, are being deployed to the Žukauskas training ground in PabradÄ and the Vevyarskis training ground in Kazlų RÅ«da.
These exercises focus on the redeployment of two divisions from the Central European region to the East. Lithuanian army units, alongside German counterparts, will participate in training on planning and conducting operations, as well as providing support to the host country.
The training will continue until the end of May.
On Monday, April 22nd, Lithuania commenced its Thunder Strike national military exercises, among the largest in the country.
Additionally, joint Lithuanian-Polish tactical exercises with an aviation element, "Brave Griffin 24/II," started on Sunday.
