The "Made in Ukraine" programme contributed 0.6% to the country’s GDP growth, which reached 2.9% in 2024.

This was announced by the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Yuliya Svyrydenko, during a conference on imposing additional sanctions against Russia.

According to her, the global goal of the programme is to change the economic structure and increase the share of the manufacturing industry in the GDP. Currently, this indicator in Ukraine is 10.3%, which is half that of neighboring countries.

“A raw-material economy equals poverty. Therefore, our strategic task is to double the manufacturing industry’s share in GDP. For this purpose, we have combined dozens of programmes under one clear umbrella, understandable to everyone in the country today—an umbrella designed to support every entrepreneur involved in production or export,” Svyrydenko said.

The programme focuses on three main goals: developing non-raw material exports, attracting investments to the real sector, and developing Ukrainian production through access to loans and grants.

Svyrydenko noted that over two years, at least 180 billion UAH is planned to be allocated to support and implement programmes within the "Made in Ukraine" initiative.

She emphasized that the Ministry of Economy conducts quarterly assessments of the programmes’ effectiveness to determine their multiplier effect.

Key achievements of the programme include compensation of up to 25% when purchasing certified Ukrainian equipment, resulting in the purchase of 13,800 units of domestically produced machinery. Also active are the “School Bus” programme, with a budget of 1.6 billion UAH for 460 buses, and the mortgage programme “eOselya,” which issued 17,600 mortgages during the full-scale war.

Additionally, 5.5 million Ukrainians have joined the “National Cashback” programme, receiving 10% back monthly on purchases of Ukrainian goods. The programme includes 1,800 manufacturers and 390,000 labeled products.
