The Latvian national airline, airBaltic, has announced its readiness to resume flights to and from Kyiv, Lviv, and Odessa, once conditions related to security permit.
The company made this statement in X.
"airBaltic expressed its readiness to resume flights to Kyiv, Lviv, and Odesa, aiming to reintegrate these cities into its network post-war, once deemed safe," the company reported following a visit to Kyiv on Monday.
AirBaltic's Chief Executive Officer, Martin Gauss, met with Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration and Minister for Community Development, Territories, and Infrastructure, Oleksandr Kubrakov, and the CEO of Boryspil International Airport, Oleksiy Dubrevskyi, in Kyiv on March 25.
The company has been operating flights from Boryspil and Lviv airports since 2019. According to the Ministry of Reintegration, airBaltic has transported over 300,000 passengers to and from Ukraine. The last airBaltic flight departed from Boryspil Airport in February 2022, prior to the closure of airspace.
