Turkish company Turkcell has announced the sale of the Ukrainian mobile operator Lifecell to the French investment company NJJ Capital, owned by billionaire Xavier Niel. The sales agreement was signed on December 29.

This information was reported by the Turkish platform for public disclosure of information.

It is stated that the nominal value of the company was 12.7 billion UAH. It is also mentioned that the transfer of assets has not yet been completed, and information about the deal "will be disclosed to the public in full and in a timely manner."

As of the end of the third quarter of 2023, Lifecell had approximately 9.1 million active subscribers.

It is known that the owner of NJJ Capital is also a co-owner of the newspaper Le Monde, the owner of the telecommunication operators Monaco Telecom, Salt Mobile, and Eir, as well as the French development company Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield.
