The Lithuanian Viciunai Group, known for its Vici brand products, will sell its business in Russia. The company is recognized for its production of crab sticks.
This information was reported by Kommersant.
The publication notes that the government commission for foreign investment control approved the deal in February.
"The buyer may act on behalf of the major fish and seafood importer 'Unifrost'," the material states.
While the Vici brand is primarily known for crab sticks and herring preserves, the plant in the Kaliningrad region also produces shrimp and fish semi-finished products.
The production capacity exceeds 120,000 tons per year, with sales revenue reaching 18.2 billion rubles (almost $197 million) in 2023, and a net profit of 1.26 billion rubles ($13.6 million).
