The meeting discussed the localization of arms production in Ukraine, alignment with NATO standards, and the improvement of procurement procedures for the army.
Rustem Umerov invited American arms manufacturers to cooperate. The discussion also revolved around Ukraine's plans to increase drone production, work on improving their software, and the use of Ukrainian drones during combat operations.
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine informed the congressmen about the situation on the frontlines, urgent military needs, and the types of weapons through which the United States can strengthen the Ukrainian army.
