As then, today, Ukrainian air defense stood firm and repelled the massive attack of enemy drones," wrote Commander of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleschuk.
Of the 89 Shahed-131/136 attack drones detected by the radar units of the Air Force, all 89 were shot down.
The response to the air attack involved mobile fire groups from all Defense Forces of Ukraine, tactical aviation of the Air Force and army aviation of the Ground Forces, anti-aircraft missile units, and electronic warfare units of the Air Force. Additionally, the X-59 guided air missile that the enemy used to attack Mykolaiv was shot down.
