Moscow flirts with a religious theme and the most profound feelings.

The Deputy Chairman of the Security Council, Dmytro Medvedev, called the Russian Federation's war in Ukraine a sacred conflict with Satan. Russian opposition journalist, and editor of The Insider, Timur Olevsky, emphasizes that such statements by high-ranking Russian officials put the regime of President Vladimir Putin on the same level as terrorist organizations, such as ISIS.

Olevsky expressed this opinion to Channel 24.

"The thing is that Medvedev's words that we are fighting Satan, the devil, actually put the Putin regime, on whose behalf he says it, at least the Security Council, which, apparently, these words are uttered, literally on the same level with terrorist by organizations such as, for example, ISIS," the journalist says.

According to him, Moscow will flirt with a religious theme and the most profound feelings. In addition, such statements trace everything to a sacred fundamentalist story of genuine religious fanaticism.

"It's as if they put the lowest and the most sublime together, mix it up - and what will happen to this sublime after that, I don't understand," said the journalist.

Olevsky emphasizes that if Ramzan Kadyrov used to make similar statements, now they are also coming from Moscow. ISIS is known for its religious statements. Like, that's how terrorists used to say why they kill people.

The editor of The Insider stated: In fact, this suggests that they are not idiots, at least in the sense in which the word is understood. According to him, the Russians have already taught people that Ukrainians are not people to be sorry.
