The company "Metinvest" has started the production of plates for body armor for soldiers of the Ukrainian army and the defense industry. The company's CEO Yuri Ryzhenkov reports it.
"We have mastered the production of armor plates for bulletproof vests at our production sites, and today we have transferred more than 2,000 such plates - they have already been used to make bulletproof vests for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, thero armor and the national police. We also carry aid purchased from abroad - mainly helmets, first aid kits, body armor," he said.
Also, according to him, since the beginning of the aggression, the company has transferred more than 40,000 hedgehogs to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, more than 10,000 special spiked chains against wheeled vehicles.
“The company also transfers metal so that contractors and partners also make anti-tank hedgehogs and chains at their enterprises,†Ryzhenkov shared.
It was also reported that Metinvest allocated 10 million euros to purchase helmets, bulletproof vests and first aid kits for Ukrainian territorial defense fighters: the first batch of purchased goods has already been distributed among the soldiers.
Another 500 thousand dollars the company allocated for the purchase of protective equipment for the defense of Zaporozhye.
