Moldovan border guards have warned of restrictions at some border crossing points on November 26 due to heavy snowfall. Newsmaker reported the disruptions, particularly affecting the crucial "Palanca" crossing for Ukraine, reports NewsMaker.

"Due to the severe wind, internet connection cables were damaged. Specialists are working on-site, redirecting traffic to the 'Tudora' crossing," cautioned the border police.

The "Leuseni-Albita" point on the Romanian border is temporarily not allowing trucks to enter Romania due to challenging road conditions. Temporary restrictions for cargo traffic also apply at the "Giurgiulesti-Galati" crossing, near the Ukrainian Reni, permitting only trucks "equipped according to weather conditions."

The Romanian side has temporarily suspended operations at the Oance border crossing, leading to disruptions at the Moldovan "Cahul" crossing.

In Moldova itself, severe road accidents occurred due to the snowfall, resulting in one fatality. Around 60 settlements experienced power outages due to damaged power lines.

At Kishinev Airport, at least two Turkish Airlines flights between Moldova and Istanbul have been canceled, with several more to and from Europe delayed indefinitely.
