"We can certainly hope for a "white swan event," but we base our calculations solely on sober assessments and considering worst-case scenarios. That's why we consistently explain to our partners the impossibility of any "compromise" formats with Russia," wrote Mykhailo Podolyak in his Telegram channel.

"Specifically, any "peace with Putin" without a clear defeat for Russia and a fundamental change in the security architecture will only mean waiting for a new round of war (which, in this case, will occur under worse conditions). Any compromise with the aggressor will have catastrophic consequences for international law.

Is the Ukrainian people happy about the prospect of a prolonged war of attrition? Definitely not. We are taking this path because there is no other path available today. That's why our task is to hold out one day longer than the enemy. And we will do it because, unlike Russia, we have no choice."
