Russian forces are employing a new tactic on the Zaporizhzhia front. Specifically, the Russian army is redeploying forces between the villages of Robotyne and Verbove.
This information was reported by the head of the United Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, Natalia Humeniuk, during a telethon.
"By spreading their forces between Robotyne and Verbove, the enemy seeks to gauge the strength of the defense of Ukrainian forces on each of these fronts," she said.
Furthermore, as the spokesperson added, attempts by sabotage and reconnaissance groups to enter Robotyne continue.
"But when they enter, they realize they are not welcome, immediately retreat, and essentially return to their original positions, as our fighters say," she concluded.
According to her data, the Russian losses continue to be quite high.
"Over the past day, we managed to destroy about 140 occupiers. Essentially, the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson fronts have parity in numbers, with a slight advantage on the Zaporizhzhia side. Approximately 50 units of armored vehicles were destroyed, although the enemy does not employ armor during assaults," the spokesperson noted.
Humeniuk added that on the Zaporizhzhia front, the Rusian forces conducted 7 unsuccessful assaults within the day.
