Russians have not once shelled the Black Sea grain corridors throughout the week.
This occurred after Ukrainian military destroyed three Russian fighter jets over the Black and Azov Seas on December 24. This was revealed by Natalia Humenyuk, the head of the unified coordination press center of the Armed Forces of Southern Ukraine, during a televised marathon.
"As of today, for almost a week, we practically haven't recorded such sorties with the launch of guided aerial bombs. A week is certain, perhaps the dates will be more precise; we'll look into the analytics," said the spokesperson for the Southern Operational Command.
Humenyuk noted that currently, it is perilous for the enemy's aviation to fly too far from Russian shores due to an increased risk of being shot down.
"We demonstrated to the enemy that the activity of tactical aviation in the Black Sea waters is extremely dangerous for them. Such attempts have ceased, but it is necessary to realize that the sea's mined status was heightened after previous sorties," she added
