While Ukraine battles Russian forces at home, its Paralympic athletes are putting up a fight in Beijing.

From March 4 to March 13, 2022, the XIII Paralympic Winter Games are being held in Beijing, where the Ukrainian team successfully performs, which set a national record for the number of awards and takes second place in the medal standings after nine days.

Ukrainians already have 28 medals: 10 gold, 10 silver and 8 bronze.

Today, March 12, Ukrainians have replenished the piggy bank with three medals: Alexandra Kononova won a gold medal in the 10 km cross-country ski race in LW6-8 classes, Irina Bui became a bronze medalist in the same discipline, and Dmitry Suyarko took third place in the 12.5 km cross-country ski race in grades B1-3.
