Kyiv's Naushi Ramen has received recognition for authenticity from the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).
It is the first establishment in Ukraine to receive such certification.
To achieve certification, a venue must meet three criteria:
- Consistently serve dishes made with Japanese food products and/or Japanese alcoholic beverages.
- Clearly indicate in the menu the use of Japanese food and beverages.
- Promote the characteristics of Japanese food and drinks.
The "Japanese Food and Ingredient Supporter" certificate is recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries of Japan and confirms the use of genuine Japanese ingredients in cuisine outside Japan.
The first Naushi Ramen opened in Kyiv four years ago in Podil. Chef and co-owner Ivan Kushnyrov completed ramen school and brought recipes, ingredients, and equipment from Japan.
Currently, there are two Naushi locations in Kyiv: at 4a Boris Grinchenko Street (Maidan Nezalezhnosti Metro Station) and at 7 Hryhori Skovorody Street (Kontraktova Ploshcha Metro Station).
