Ukraine has taken the initiative over the situation in the Black Sea. However, the enemy is adapting to the new challenges and reacting to them.
This was reported by the spokesman for the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmytro Pletenchuk in an interview with "Espreso".
According to Pletenchuk, it is difficult to predict what Ukraine can expect in the current year. At the same time, one should not discount the enemy's naval forces, as Russia is adapting to new challenges and reacting to them. As a result, planning new operations to destroy the Russian fleet has to be more detailed and coordinated.
"In general, we can talk about a positive trend in our actions in the Black Sea. In particular, it can be noted that the initiative is currently on our side. Initiative matters a lot in this matter because it provides an opportunity to impose our conditions for combat operations. As of now, we are succeeding in this, but we must continue to work further. Because, according to the commander of the Naval Forces of the AFU (Oleksiy Neizhpapa, commander of the Naval Forces of the AFU, - ed.), every ship under military flag in the Black Sea is a legitimate target for us," he added.
