Russian forces used two dozen Shahed kamikaze drones for another air attack on Ukraine overnight. Seventeen of them were eliminated by the air defense forces.
This was reported by the commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk.
It is specified that the enemy launched 20 attack drones from Cape Chauda (occupied Crimea) on the night of May 9.
The combat operations to repel the Russian attack took place in the Odessa region.
"As a result of combat operations by anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force and mobile fire groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 17 attack UAVs were destroyed in the Odessa region," the general noted.
