Oh, Sister! is a documentary about six women facing the challenges of the ongoing Russian invasion, and fighting for peace, justice and freedom in Ukraine.


The documentary film Oh, Sister! , Director Hanna Kapylova, told about the lives of six Ukrainian women fighting for peace during a full-scale war.

Among the six heroines is Oleksandra Matviychuk, head of the Center for Civil Liberties; a military medic with the call sign "Swallow"; volunteer Tata Kepler; head of NGO "Mother and Baby" Alla Melnychuk; Natalya Kudrych and Nadiya Zhmikovska, conductors of the evacuation flights of "Ukrzaliznytsia".

The film was commissioned by the Nobel Women’s Initiative in partnership with United for Ukraine, the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt, and other supporters, following the journey of three female Nobel Peace Prize laureates - Tawakkol Karman of Yemen, Jody Williams of USA, and Leymah Gbowee of Liberia - to Krakow, Poland, and Lviv, Ukraine in June 2022.
