Military expert Oleg Zhdanov expressed this opinion.

“For the first time in this war, we are trying to impose our game on the Russian Federation. We forced its troops to move from north to south. At the same time, Russia created a strike force in southern Ukraine and is trying to pull our forces to the north as much as possible. To do this, the enemy creates the illusion of a massive offensive in the Donetsk direction, although he does not have reserves there," the expert noted.
He stressed that the main task of the Ukrainian defenders is to hold the defense without transferring troops there.
“This is a big strategic game going on today along the entire front, but Russia has time until the end of the week. If by the end of the week they don’t outplay us and start an offensive operation, we will begin the systematic destruction of the Russian grouping on the right bank of the Dnieper,†Zhdanov is convinced.
