The military expert shared that Russia is sponsoring the loosening of the situation in Moldova, but will this plan of the Russian Federation come true?
In an interview with TSN.ua, military expert Oleg Zhdanov spoke about the situation in Moldova and the likelihood of a coup.
"There is information that Russia has invested" insane means "to undermine the situation in Moldova. It would be very beneficial for the Russian Federation now to get a foothold in the depths of world defense against Russian aggression. But I do not yet see ways to implement it. Moldova is an enclave between Ukraine, and It is very problematic to get into the territory of Moldova. Our head of state handed over to the President of Moldova all the intelligence information about the Russian Federation's attempts and possible action options. Therefore, I think that Moldova, either on its own or with the help of its allies, will oppose these measures," Zhdanov said.
According to him, Transnistria's forces and means today are not enough to undermine the situation.
"I know that Russian channels were banned in Moldova, even some of the Moldovan channels were closed, which did not recognize Russia's aggression against Ukraine. Both the parliament and the president are pro-European there. A change of government will not affect the situation. Most likely, a pro-European government will be appointed. Moldova will continue the "movement towards the EU," the expert said.
