The war unleashed by Russia against Ukraine was inevitable. Long-range missiles in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine would not change anything. Russian President Vladimir Putin would still give the order to attack since he wants to destroy Ukraine.

Military expert Oleg Zhdanov expressed confidence in this, noting that the war would start sooner or later. Just if Ukraine had long-range missiles, the Kremlin dictator would prepare for military operations "a little differently."

"This is our deep historical confrontation. Russia has always wanted to destroy us. They have nothing of their own: neither history nor ideology. They are all trying to pull the blanket from us. And for this, we need to be destroyed, and our history was taken away. Take away the history of Kievan Rus; say that it was Rus', as they are trying to call it… The war was inevitable. Sooner or later it would have taken place," he said.

According to Zhdanov, now Ukraine has a chance to join Europe and isolate itself from Russia, preventing Putin from becoming "above all at the top of the political Olympus."
