Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, while on the ground in the Donbas region, discussed the miscalculations made by local commanders that had a certain impact on defense. At the same time, reserves have already been allocated to rectify the situation.
This was reported on Oleksandr Syrskyi's Facebook page.
He mentioned that during his work, certain miscalculations were identified among individual commanders regarding situational awareness and enemy assessment, which "directly affected the resilience of defense in certain sectors."
"I have taken all measures to address the situation on the ground, including allocating additional resources of ammunition and material assets, as well as necessary reserves," Syrskyi concluded.
As stated by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy continues active offensive actions on many fronts of the front line. Particularly tense situations have developed on the Avdiivka and Zaporizhzhia directions, where Russian assault units are attempting to break through our troops' defense and capture the settlements of Tonenke, Orlivka, Semenivka, Berdychiv, and Krasnogorivka.
"Fierce battles are ongoing in the areas of Verbove and Robotyne, where the enemy seeks to regain control. I commenced my work in the area of combat operations from the Operational-Tactical Command 'Donetsk,' in units holding the defense on the Avdiivka direction," the general added.
