"The main goal of the occupiers is to capture Avdiivka, Novomykhailivka, and the territories lost by them last summer as quickly as possible. Enemy armored groups are increasingly participating in the assaults," reported the commander of the Joint Forces Operation "Tavria" Oleksandr Tarnavsky.
"The situation in the operational zone of the Joint Forces Operation 'Tavria' remains tense but under control. We see the enemy's goal - to capture Avdiivka, Novomykhailivka, and the territories lost by them last summer at any cost and as quickly as possible," he noted.
According to Tarnavsky, the Russian forces increasingly involves armored groups in the assault infantry groups, but Ukrainian soldiers are holding the defense steadfastly.
"The Russian aggressor is actively destroying and capturing, including our fresh forces that have entered the battle," the commander added.
The total losses of the occupiers in the operational zone of the Joint Forces Operation "Tavria" over the past day amounted to 458 personnel and 25 units of military equipment, excluding UAVs. Among the destroyed or damaged equipment are 9 tanks, 11 combat armored vehicles, 2 artillery systems, 2 vehicles, and 1 unit of special equipment. Also, one ammunition depot exploded. Another important target of the Russians was destroyed. A total of 139 UAVs of various types were neutralized or destroyed. Yesterday, the enemy launched 25 airstrikes and 2 missile strikes, conducted 57 assaults, and carried out 663 artillery attacks.
