During her visit to the UK to participate in the international Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict Initiative (PSVI) Conference, First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska gave an interview to the British broadcaster Sky News on this topic.
"Russians do not hide their violence against Ukrainians so much that they tell their relatives about it in phone conversations. We know this from numerous intercepted calls," the President's wife said.
She said that such barefacedness and repetition of rapes (Ukrainian investigators have more than 100 cases of violence against our citizens by invaders, and these are only those cases when the victims found the strength to speak) proves that this is a concerted weapon of the aggressor approved by the Russian leadership.
"That is why, during my address to the British Parliament, I spoke about the need to create a special tribunal regarding the crime of aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine, because just winning the war is not enough. It is important to punish those who gave orders about crimes and perpetrated them," the First Lady of Ukraine said.
