Compared to March 2023, in March 2024, Ukrzaliznytsia transported one-third more cargo across all modes of transportation - 16 million tons. This is also 10% more than the record figures of February 2024 when the volume of transportation reached 14.5 million tons. Ukrzaliznytsia's cargo transportation has been showing growth for the third consecutive month. And the March result is the best since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

This was reported by Vice Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine - Minister of Community Development, Territories, and Infrastructure of Ukraine, Olexander Kubrakov.

Through port stations, 5.3 million tons of cargo were transported, including 2.7 million tons of grain. Through western border crossings, 3.4 million tons were transported, including 484 thousand tons of grain.

In March 2024, 8 million tons of cargo were transported by rail for export, including 3.2 million tons of grain. Overall, exports accounted for 51% of all cargo. The volume of exports increased by more than half compared to March 2023.

In domestic transportation, 7 million tons were transported, which is 11% more than in March 2023. Import shipments increased by 65% compared to March 2023 and amounted to 808.3 thousand tons.
