"Over $27 billion - the investment potential of the energy efficiency sector in Ukraine - the most extensive project in Europe for the qualitative reconstruction of communities and the economy based on modern global trends and technologies," emphasized Anna Zamazieieva, the Head of Energy Efficiency, presenting investment opportunities in the energy efficiency sector in various economic sectors during the "Investors Annual Meeting" forum organized by the government office "Ukraine Invest" for over 150 foreign and Ukrainian companies.
Anna Zamazieieva noted that investments in decarbonization and energy efficiency are not just business projects and contributions to the development and competitiveness of enterprises. On a national scale, all these projects together will help:
- reduce annual direct losses, which exceed $1 billion in the country due to a low level of energy efficiency;
- generate income within the country and economic growth;
- create new jobs, attract innovations;
- enhance energy security for communities and the economy.
"To encourage investment, we at the State Energy Efficiency Department are creating stimulating tools. This includes the Decarbonization Fund and the Ukrainian National Decarbonization Platform - UANDP," explained the Head.
"The platform will become a multifunctional digital hub to assist everyone in matters of energy efficiency and decarbonization. We are preparing a range of tools: from technical solutions and information resources to financial mechanisms to support project launches," Anna Zamazieieva clarified.
Soon, energy-efficient recovery and decarbonization projects will become more accessible to communities and businesses through the UANDP platform and its partners.
