In December 2023, the Ukrainian automotive fleet welcomed over 4,600 battery electric vehicles (BEVs), nearly three times more than the previous year, according to the Association of Ukrainian Automakers Ukravtoprom.
Of this total, over 4,500 were passenger BEVs, and 78 were commercial electric vehicles.
Throughout 2023, Ukrainians purchased a total of 37,600 vehicles with zero emissions, marking a 2.8-fold increase compared to 2022. The share of new vehicles in the BEV registrations rose from 17% in 2022 to almost 20% by the end of the past year.
