On the night of August 24 (starting at 22:00 on August 23), the Russian forces launched an attack using an Iskander-M ballistic missile from the Taganrog area in Russia, as well as 72 Shahed attack drones and various types of decoy UAVs from the directions of Kursk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia.
The air assault was repelled by aviation, air defense missile units, electronic warfare and drone system units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data as of 08:30, Ukrainian air defenses shot down or suppressed 48 Shahed drones and various types of decoy UAVs over the north, east, and south of the country.
Missile and drone strikes were recorded at 10 locations, with confirmed hits from one missile and 24 UAVs.
