The UAnimals team appointed the famous Ukrainian dog Patron to the communications department's director position.
There is probably no person in Ukraine who has not heard of Patron - the brave rescue dog, a demining legend, the mascot of the pyrotechnic unit, the heroic favorite of Ukrainians.
Patron began serving in the State Emergency Service in 2019. During the full-scale war, the dog helped demine Chernihiv and became the mascot of pyrotechnicians. During this time, he received several international awards, including the medal "For devoted service" from Volodymyr Zelensky.
Patron is not the first to interact with UAnimals. In particular, the organization played merch with a dog at the auction and then collected 261,470 hryvnias on the dog's birthday. Proceeds went to rescue animals.
It is very important to convey the importance of saving animals to Ukrainians and audiences abroad using all possible methods. And it is difficult to find an opinion leader as powerful in these messages as Patron the dog.
