Poland and allied countries deployed military aviation on the night of May 26 in response to the latest massive Russian missile attack on Ukrainian territory.
This was reported by the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces.
"We would like to inform you that Polish and allied aircraft are operating in the airspace, which may result in increased noise levels, especially in the southeastern part of the country," the announcement said.
The Polish Armed Forces Command noted that "intensive activity" of Russian long-range aviation was observed this night due to missile strikes "on targets located, among other places, in the western part of Ukraine."
The Polish military also reminded that the last significant activity of Russian aviation due to massive attacks on Ukraine was recorded on the night of May 7 to 8.
"All necessary procedures have been initiated to ensure the security of Poland's airspace, and the DO RSZ is constantly monitoring the situation," the announcement stated.
