In Poland, Polish and American F-16 fighters were deployed into the air due to missile shelling on Ukrainian territory.

The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces reported this on the X social network.

"We report that there is intensive activity of long-range aircraft of the Russian Federation, associated with missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine. All necessary procedures have been initiated to ensure the safety of Poland's airspace. The Operational Command is constantly monitoring the situation," the statement said.

The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces warned that the involvement of Polish and allied aviation may cause an increased level of noise, especially in the southeastern part of the country.

As reported, in recent weeks, Polish and allied military aviation has been deployed into the air in Poland several times, including two pairs of Polish and American F-16 fighters patrolling the airspace of eastern Poland.
