The German Federal Intelligence Service (BND) and Poland's External Intelligence Agency (Agencja Wywiadu, AW) have publicly committed to cooperating against hybrid Russian attacks.
This announcement was made in a joint post by both intelligence agencies on Facebook.
"Strong together: AW and BND cooperate on an ongoing basis in countering Russian subversive operations in Europe," the agencies stated.
Such a public declaration of cooperation is unusual for intelligence agencies.
"We share the opinion that subversive activities could not be conducted by Russian intelligence and its proxies on the territory of Germany and Poland without the knowledge and authorization of Moscow’s highest authorities," the statement added.
