During a working trip to Sumy region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky took part in the presentation of the "Made in Ukraine" economic platform and met with Ukrainian manufacturers.
The Head of State familiarized himself with the products of local enterprises. The President thanked the businesses for supporting the economy and creating jobs during the war. He emphasized that the central and regional authorities should be in constant dialogue with business.
"It is very important for me that the new national platform "Made in Ukraine" becomes effective. That is why we have moved from a state initiative to regional meetings and will work in regional offices," Zelensky said.
The Head of State called on all regions of the country to join the "Made in Ukraine" platform to support Ukrainian manufacturers of goods.
"We are ready to help with orders for regional businesses that may also have state orders. Today, we are talking about how to see everything you can, how to sign specific contracts so that you increase the number of jobs and develop the economy of our country," the President said.
Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine, noted that the "Made in Ukraine" platform is aimed at incentivizing Ukrainian enterprises to increase production and exports.
"We want to stimulate Ukrainian production and Ukrainian consumption," she emphasized.
According to Yuliia Svyrydenko, the first regional office of the "Made in Ukraine" platform has been opened in Sumy region. It is focused on micro and small businesses. Entrepreneurs will be able to get expert advice and information about support programs.
This year, Sumy region will receive more than UAH 1 billion as part of the "Made in Ukraine" programme.
Answering the questions of business representatives, the President emphasized the importance of localization mechanisms as part of the "Made in Ukraine" policy.
"The main thing is that the company pays taxes here, produces goods and creates jobs," the Head of State emphasized.
