President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the co-chairs of the Israel-Ukraine Parliamentary Friendship Group, members of the Knesset of the State of Israel Yuli Edelstein and Ze'ev Elkin.
The President informed the interlocutors about the situation at the front and emphasized that the aggressor had already launched an offensive, intensifying attacks in certain areas.
The Head of State emphasized the continuation of Russian missile attacks on the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine, in particular with the use of Iranian drones.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that the common security challenges facing our countries today, as well as the Russian-Iranian political rapprochement, require a paradigm shift in the interaction between Ukraine and Israel and bringing it to a new level.
The parties also discussed Israeli support for the Peace Formula initiated by the President of Ukraine and the implementation of recent international initiatives of our country.
"We want the world order to be restored and stability to return to our region. This is exactly what my ten-point Peace Formula, which I presented to the G19 leaders on November 15, is about," Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted.
Attention was also paid to the expansion of Israel's humanitarian and other assistance programs to Ukraine.
Separately, the President touched upon the difficult situation around the crossing of the Israeli border by Ukrainian citizens. The parties discussed possible practical ways to overcome the existing problems.
Following the meeting, Israeli Knesset members Yuli Edelstein and Ze'ev Elkin approved a joint statement in support of Ukraine.
