Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, during a meeting in Paris with representatives of French business and Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and French Citizens Abroad Laurent Saint-Martin, outlined promising sectors for investment in Ukraine.

Denys Shmyhal shared this on Telegram.

He thanked the French companies that continue to operate in Ukraine, as well as those that have left the Russian market.

“We highly value France’s role in the recovery and support of Ukraine’s infrastructure. The French government has provided about €1.2 billion in state guarantees for French investment projects in Ukraine. I also expressed gratitude for the Grant Agreement, which allocates €200 million for the restoration of critical infrastructure and priority sectors of the economy,” the Prime Minister noted.

As Shmyhal emphasized, despite all the challenges of war, Ukraine is showing confident economic recovery and a pro-European course.

According to him, the government is implementing reforms and tools to promote business activity and improve the investment climate.

The head of government also mentioned guarantees and incentives for businesses, including tax benefits, industrial parks, and reimbursement for utility network connections.

“I outlined promising sectors for investment in Ukraine: the defense industry, energy, transport and logistics, construction, agriculture, IT, mechanical engineering, extraction and processing of critical materials. We are particularly interested in establishing joint defense enterprises that will allow us to jointly produce innovative solutions in the security sector,” Shmyhal said.

In his view, by joining forces, “we will lay a solid foundation for the modernization of Ukraine’s economy, strengthening energy and food security, and ensuring a stable future.”
