Ukraine calls on the civilized world to strengthen sanctions against russia and recognize it as a sponsor of terrorism. This was emphasized by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during a meeting in Kyiv with the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Margareta Cederfelt.
Denys Shmyhal stressed that the aggressor state daily violates the provisions of international humanitarian law enshrined in the Geneva Conventions, regularly launches missiles and air strikes on civilian infrastructure, resulting in an increasing number of civilian casualties. In particular, the Prime Minister noted that today russia had struck missiles at a shopping center in Kremenchuk, where up to a thousand people were staying.
"This once again confirms that neither the presence of high-ranking officials - our partners here, nor the sacrifices among the people stop the russians from destroying our country and the nation. I consider it a gradual genocide of Ukrainians, which is carried out by the top-level leaders of the russian federation," the Prime Minister stressed.
Denys Shmyhal emphasized, russia is deliberately creating crises in the world: food, migration, energy - all of those are destined against Europe and the world. He called for further support for Ukraine in the all-out war, including tightening sanctions and recognizing russia as a sponsor of terrorism.
"Also, given the recent events, in particular in Kremenchuk, we again appeal to all partners to close the skies over Ukraine - to create an appropriate protective dome of modern air defense systems," said the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister called on the representatives of the OSCE PA to also use all diplomatic means to return home Ukrainians who were forcibly deported to the territory of the rf.
