The state is focusing on the development of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex. This includes new design developments, technological advancements, technology transfer, and establishing joint production with allies and partners," stated Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal.
During a meeting on October 10, the Government approved a resolution to simplify the import of raw materials for the production of ammunition and components for UAVs. This will ensure Ukrainian needs and allow for increased drone production.
"The Government has significantly simplified the import of drones, expanded the list of military and dual-use goods that can be imported without permission from the State Export Control Service. We have removed bureaucratic barriers for the procurement of Ukrainian drones," noted the Prime Minister. He also mentioned that UAV production has already increased a hundredfold this year and is set to grow even more.
Denis Shmyhal informed that the draft budget for 2024 includes nearly UAH 1.7 trillion for security and defense, with approximately UAH 56 billion allocated for defense production and over UAH 48 billion for replenishing and expanding the drone fleet.
