The Government approved the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan on cooperation in the field of food safety, concluded on January 14, 2022 in Kyiv.
According to this Agreement, the main areas of cooperation between the parties are:
- promotion of bilateral trade by simplifying procedures for import, export, transit and re-export of food products;
- exchange of experience in the field of food safety;
- bilateral approval of international certificates for food products.
The State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection is the body responsible for the implementation of the provisions of the Agreement on behalf of Ukraine.
The Agreement's implementation will contribute to the activation and establishment of bilateral trade between Ukraine and the Republic of Azerbaijan, the diversification of sales markets, the opening of new opportunities for Ukrainian business, and the strengthening of ties between the two states.
