The German company Rheinmetall will supply Ukraine with an additional 20 Marder infantry fighting vehicles.
This was reported by the company's press service.
"The German government comissioned Rheinmetall to deliver 20 additional Marder infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) to the Ukraine. The order was placed in March 2024 and has a value in the mid double-digit million Euro range. The delivery of this new lot is scheduled within 2024," the statement said.
To date, Rheinmetall has already delivered a three-digit number of Marder vehicles to the Armed Forces of Ukraine through direct deliveries and circular exchange programs.
The ordered version 1A3 Marder will be equipped with integrated laser rangefinders, allowing for effective and precise targeting.
The company had previously supplied the first 20 of such combat vehicles to Ukraine on behalf of the German government in March 2023. Since then, several batches have been delivered, each consisting of a double-digit number of vehicles.
