Military expert Roman Svitan said that the Russian occupation troops would leave the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant before the New Year.
In the new issue of the Argument project, he noted that the movement of Russians from the Zaporizhzhya NPP had already begun.
"I am sure Russian troops will leave the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant before the New Year. When such a level of people as Grossi (IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi) and organizations such as the IAEA make a statement that the issue has been practically resolved on the withdrawal of Russian troops from the station itself⦠I think this will all be done before the New Year," the expert stressed.
According to him, there is already information about the withdrawal of heavy equipment and militants from the ZNPP. However, it is still being determined whether the Russians will also leave Energodar.
âMoreover, there is already information that the Russians are withdrawing some of the heavy equipment, and militants and demining some objects on the territory of the station that was previously mined. Therefore, I think that this is the beginning of the movement of Russians from the territory of the station. Will they only leave the station or even from Energodar? It will depend on the negotiations that the IAEA is currently conducting - Grossi and Putin - and the sanctions policy that our Western partners will be capable of concerning Rosatom," Svitan added.
