Since today, Romanian farmers have resumed blocking the movement of freight vehicles at the checkpoint "Siret," located opposite the Ukrainian checkpoint "Porubne."
This information was reported by the press service of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
Blocking has also begun at the Romanian checkpoint "Valea de Sus," opposite the Ukrainian checkpoint "Krasnoilsk."
"The movement of trucks through the checkpoints "Siret" and "Valea de Sus" is blocked," the statement said.
At the same time, other types of transport, as well as pedestrians, at both checkpoints are processed according to the established procedure for entry and exit from Ukraine, border guards reported.
To recap, Romanian farmers initiated the blockade of the Ukrainian border on January 13. They suspended the blockade twice while awaiting the results of negotiations.
The farmers complained about fuel prices, expressed dissatisfaction with taxation, demanded improvements in agricultural financing, and called for a halt to grain imports from Ukraine.
