In Russia, during the night of February 3rd, there were reports of another drone attack, detected in the Belgorod and Volgograd regions. In the latter, a strong fire broke out at the Volgograd oil refinery as a result of the incident.

This information was reported by the Telegram channel of the Governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, and Russian media.

Regarding the fire in Volgograd, data on the significant fire were confirmed by representatives of emergency services and the Ministry of Emergency Situations. It occurred due to a drone crashing onto the territory of the oil refinery in the Chervonarmiysky district of Volgograd, causing an explosion.

It is noted that the fire has spread over an area of 300 square meters, and relevant services are currently working to extinguish the fire.

According to Russian Telegram channels, the Volgograd refinery of "LUKOIL-Volgogradneftepererabotka" is reportedly on fire.

Later, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Volgograd region stated, "The operational duty shift of the CUCR received information about a fire in the Chervonarmiysky district of Volgograd. Upon the arrival of the first firefighting and rescue units, it was established that a spill of petroleum products was burning on an area of 300 square meters. Fire and rescue units of the Volgograd garrison are working at the scene. Preliminarily, there are no casualties or injuries. The cause is being determined."

The Governor of the Belgorod region also mentioned the drone attack. According to the official, a drone of an aircraft type was supposedly neutralized by air defense systems. This incident took place in the Novooskolsky city district.

Gladkov asserts that "there are no casualties."

"As a result of the falling debris in the Podilkhivske hamlet, one private house had broken windows, a damaged roof, facade, and fence, as well as a parked KAMAZ truck. A house-to-house survey of the territory will be continued in daylight," the official's statement said.
