The Office of the Prosecutor General is investigating Russia's appropriation of over 1,700 tons of Ukrainian agricultural products.

The Office of the Prosecutor General reported this.

"Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, Russia has stolen and destroyed Ukrainian grain and other agricultural products worth billions of dollars. According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, over 1,700 tons of agricultural products illegally exported from occupied territories are involved. Another crime is the destruction and ruination of agricultural infrastructure due to shelling and hostilities," the statement said.

Russia systematically exports the stolen products abroad and sells them to buyers on the world market. Moreover, the origin of the grain and other agricultural products is concealed.

During the Ukrainian Grain Conference held in Kyiv, Deputy Prosecutor General Dmytro Verbytskyi announced that Ukrainian prosecutors had already received orders to arrest over 20 vessels, sent requests for mutual legal assistance, and filed 20 indictments in court.

However, the investigation is significantly complicated by Russia's concealment of the Ukrainian origin of the agricultural products, and the necessary documents and witnesses are located in occupied territories or in Russia itself.

"Therefore, the Office of the Prosecutor General calls on international partners, agro-traders, and civil society organizations to assist in tracking the international flow of stolen Ukrainian agricultural products and financing these illegal sales," the Office of the Prosecutor General emphasized
