Russians are suffering heavy losses during the battles for Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region and are preparing to deploy marines from the Pacific Fleet. This concerns a brigade stationed more than 9,000 kilometers away from the combat zone.
This was reported by Nazar Voloshin, spokesperson for the operational-strategic grouping Khortytsia, during a TV marathon.
According to him, in Vovchansk, the Ukrainian defense forces are opposed by the 138th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade, the 83rd Separate Airborne Assault Brigade, and the 30th Motorized Infantry Regiment.
At the same time, the Russian forces plan to involve units from the 155th Separate Marine Brigade from the Pacific Fleet and units belonging to the 25th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of the 6th Army from the Leningrad Military District in fulfilling tasks in that direction.
It is worth noting that the 155th Separate Guards Marine Brigade is stationed in Vladivostok and Slavyanka in the Primorsky Krai.
The distance to Vovchansk is approximately 9,300 kilometers.
Voloshin explained that the Russians have suffered significant losses over nearly one and a half months of fighting for Volchansk, with over 4,000 Russian soldiers destroyed.
Now, the Russian military leadership is trying to replenish the supplies of its troops engaged in this direction with those units located near the borders of Ukraine, as well as those military groupings within the territory of the Russian Federation.
Russian forces attempted to capture a city in the northern part of the Kharkiv region over a month ago but only managed to advance partially. Ukrainian forces are counterattacking in this direction.
