Russian troops launched a ballistic missile strike on Odessa on the night of October 11, killing four people, including a teenager, and injuring ten others.
This was reported on Telegram by Oleg Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional State Administration.
He stated that as a result of the attack in the Odesіa district, a two-story building where civilians lived and worked was destroyed. People were trapped under the rubble. As the head of the Regional State Administration noted, rescuers from the State Emergency Service saved four people. Three others died under the debris.
Among the dead were a 43-year-old woman, a 22-year-old man, and a 16-year-old girl.
Another woman died from her injuries in the hospital. Ten people suffered injuries and trauma, nine of whom were hospitalized. Four are in serious condition.
Psychological assistance was provided to ten people on-site.
According to the State Emergency Service (SES), the rescue operations in Odessa were complicated by a repeated air raid alert.
"Medics, police, Red Cross representatives, and volunteers worked alongside the rescuers. Canine units were also involved in the search operations," the report says.
