Russia launched dozens of Shaheds and 13 missiles overnight

On the night of September 4, Russia attacked Ukraine with dozens of Shahed-131/136 drones and 13 missiles. Ukrainian air defense managed to destroy 29 airborne targets.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force's Telegram channel, Russia launched a total of 42 airborne threats, including:

  • 2 Kinzhal Kh-47M2 aeroballistic missiles from MiG-31K aircraft over Tula region, Russia.
  • 2 Kh-22 cruise missiles from Tu-22M3 aircraft over the Black Sea.
  • 6 Kh-101 cruise missiles from Tu-95MS aircraft over Volgograd region , Russia.
  • 3 Iskander-K cruise missiles from occupied Crimea.
  • 29 Shahed-131/136 drones from Kursk region, Russia.

The air defense involved aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire teams of the Ukrainian Air Force and Defense Forces.

In total, 29 targets were intercepted and destroyed, including:

  • 4 Kh-101 cruise missiles.
  • 3 Iskander-K cruise missiles.
  • 22 Shahed-131/136 drones.
